Terrific Duck Hunting!
Duck hunting in Alberta is some of the best in North America.
September is warm so hunting is pretty comfortable. There are hundreds of potholes lakes, sloughs ,fields and miles of irrigation canals.
October can continue to be warm and hunting by mid October in the north is done, but it is full swing in the south with birds migrating at an amazing amount of numbers.
November and December begins temperatures start to drop and snow can start. Birds fly later and later through the day and shuffle from field to field. The reason for this never ending supply of birds through the late season is because of both nature and man.
December finishes off the season and they are still getting their limits in about an hour right until closing day. Temperatures are pretty chilly by this time so a lot of hunters have heated blinds.
So if you are looking for a great place to go for a fantastic bird hunt Alberta is the place to go. There are many opportunities for hunting there lots of information on line for guides.
